PINK PATRIOT is a great step forward on my quest for clear, clean color on top of a strong, cold hardy plant.  The rich, saturated cherry petals are offset by a very bright yellow-to-green throat. The scapes are strong and upright, and the branches are nicely spaced, leaving plenty of elbow room for the bright, cheerful blooms. The foliage is dormant, and the plants increase nicely, making a showy clump in short order.

This daylily is also a powerhouse parent (easily fertile both ways), with great genes from Curt Hanson (Interrupted by Splendor, Building the Colossus, Clear Fork), Melanie Mason (Dangling Participle) and Steve Todd (Arabella Pearl).  Also  Jamie Gossard's White Eyes Pink Dragon,  Judy Davisson's High Water Mark and Curt's Up On The Roof and Message of Love if you go back another generation.  Great genetics for strong plants and beautiful blooms!
